Lawmakers Get $4,100 Pay Raise For 2008
 Once again Congress delivers for themselves on the backs of it's citizens.
It is just plain perverse that Members of Congress automatically receive a raise each year while the rest of the country is struggling to make ends meet. Every time they give themselves a raise the nation goes deeper into debt.
Our politicians act like they are the leaders of a third world nation.
These people are nothing more than robbers, and should be hung from the highest polls in the land to make it clear to other would be scoundrels that the people of this **ONCE** great nation will not tolerate it any more.
I'd call for a revolution but that I believe is illegal.
But then I guess it really doesn't matter, in a few years, **we will be** a third world gutter nation, part of Mexico!

Social Security, Your Social Security
Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn't know this. It's easy to check out, if you don't believe it. Be sure and show it to your kids. They need a little history lesson on what's what and it doesn't matter whether you are Democrat of Republican. Facts are Facts!!!
**Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social
Security (FICA) Program. He promised: **
1.) **That participation in the Program would be
Completely voluntary, **
2.) **That the participants would only have to pay
1% of the first $1,400 of their annual
Incomes into the Program, **
3.) **That the money the participants elected to put
into the Program would be deductible from
their income for tax purposes each year, **
4.) **That the money the participants put into the
independent "Trust Fund" rather than into the
general operating fund, and therefore, would
only be used to fund the Social Security
Retirement Program, and no other
Government program, and, **
5.)**That the annuity payments to the retirees
would never be taxed as income.**
Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are
now receiving a Social Security check every month --
and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of
the money we paid to the Federal government to "put
away" -- you may be interested in the following:

independent "Trust Fund" and put it into the
general fund so that Congress could spend it?
**A: **It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically
controlled House and Senate.

deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
**A:** The Democratic Party.

"tie-breaking" deciding vote as President of the
Senate, while he was Vice President of the US

annuity payments to immigrants?
**AND MY FAVORITE: ** 
**A: ** Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party.
immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65,
began to receive Social Security payments! The
Democratic Party gave these payments to them,
even though they never paid a dime into it!

Then, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!
And the worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it!
If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of
awareness will be planted and maybe changes will
evolve. Maybe not, some Democrats are awfully
sure of what isn't so.
But it's worth a try. How many people can YOU send this to?
Actions speak louder than bumper stickers.
AND CONGRESS GIVES THEMSELVES 100% RETIREMENT FOR ONLY SERVING ONE TERM!!!

Let's say I break into your house
**A lady wrote the best letter in the Editorials in ages!!! It explains things better than all the baloney you hear on TV.**
**__Her point:__**
Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration.
Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely.
Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests. Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave.
But I say, No! I like it here. It's better than my house. I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors. I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house).
According to the protesters:
**You are Required** __to let me stay in your house__
**You are Required** __to feed me__
**You are Required** __to add me to your family's insurance plan__
**You are Required** __to Educate my kids__
**You are Required **__to Provide other benefits to me & to my family__
(my husband will do all of your yard work because he is also hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part).
If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my RIGHT to be there.
It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm a hard-working and honest, person, except for well, you know, I did break into your house And what a deal it is for me!!!
I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of cold, uncaring, selfish, prejudiced, and bigoted behavior.
Oh yeah, **I DEMAND that you learn MY LANGUAGE!!!** so you can communicate with me.
**Why can't people see how ridiculous this is?!** Only in America!
If you agree, pass it on (in English). **Share it if you see the value of it.**

According to the headline news, the biggest problems that America seems to have, now that the writer’s strike is over, is the use of steroids by athletes who are worth millions of dollars per year. In the mean time, it is Americans who are stealing Americans blind. It is bad enough that corporate America has sold our work force down the river or across the pond in order to make larger profits off of a cheaper labor force, but here is yet another example. The cry has been heard for the last year ** Why are gas and oil prices skyrocketing? ** and we have been led to believe it is the fault of Saudi oil prices. Take a look!
HOUSTON "ExxonMobil (XOM) on Friday posted the largest annual profit by a U.S. company" $40.6 billion" as the world's largest publicly traded oil company benefited from historic crude prices at year's end.
Exxon also set a U.S. record for the biggest quarterly profit, posting net income of $11.7 billion for the final three months of 2007, besting its own mark of $10.71 billion in the fourth quarter of 2005.
The previous record for annual profit was $39.5 billion, which ExxonMobil reported for 2006.
**Wake up, America!** Our complacency is the cause of our financial decline! They are not gleaning more profits due to higher oil costs! They are lining their pockets with gold that fellow Americans are handing them.

Courts Uphold Local Immigration Laws
 Can it be true? We still have some Federal Judges that are not on the take? **Law breakers and traitors have been challenging state and local laws cracking down on illegal immigration for years** and winning, but finally the tide may be turning. A few true American Judges have stood their ground and said they will not tolerate lawlessness and the destruction of this great nation any more. Lets all give a round of applause to these judges, __Neil V. Wake__, __E. Richard Webber__, and __James H. Payne__. These individuals are true Judges, and understand the importance to up-hold the laws of //this once great nation//.

It is truly a sad day in America, our only choices are all LIBERALS! The GOP has clearly been taken over by the DEM's disguising themselves, and not to well, as conservatives.
