The Sandwich Nazis

angry, grr Can anything be as insane as this? This reminds me of the //Seinfeld episode "The Soup Nazi"//. Try ordering the daily special at a **subway**, and ask them to leave an item off, such as the turkey and ham sandwich, then ask them to leave the ham off. They will charge you the full regular price though they save money by leaving the ham off. No deal! They would rather you take the ham so you have to pull the unwanted stuff off and throw it in the trash. Hey! There's some cleaver thinking on **Subways** part, don't you think? I say that when dealing with people who clearly have shit for brains, such as them, act like them to get your point across, pull the unwanted item off, and then let it drop to the floor on your way out, that way everyone feels good, they made it their way, making them feel that they have all the power, and you get to make the point that it comes at a price. smile

ETHANOL FACTS

(TheShiningLight.info) Ethanol has been touted as a cure for some of the energy and pollution problems faced by humanity the world over. Is it really? Just what are the facts?

Ethanol is an alcohol obtained by processing sugars taken from crops. Fields must be plowed, seed sown, fields cultivated, weeded and protected from insects. Then comes the harvest, shipping, processing, manufacture and distribution to sellers. This all takes energy! On average it takes one and one half gallons of petroleum fuel to produce one gallon of ethanol!

Fact: If the energy taken to produce the ethanol is added into the calculation of the energy contained within the ethanol the end result is; The burning of ethanol as fuel is almost 1 1/2 times less efficient than the burning of the petroleum product in the first place. It takes 131,100 BTU's to produce 77,000 BTU's. Prof David Pimental Cornel U. Natural Resources Research, Vol 14, No 1 Mar 05, pages 65-76 . It takes 29% more energy to produce ethanol from corn than the total energy contained in the ethanol produced. This varies with the type of crop, but corn is at the better end of the scale.

Fact: The pollutants produced by burning petroleum to produce ethanol, plus the pollutants produced by the burning of ethanol, amount to producing twice the pollutants that would have been produced by just burning petroleum in the first place!

Fact: There are various problems involved in burning ethanol as fuel which often result in a measurable DECREASE in mileage per gallon of fuel. Sometimes as much as 40%. This decrease in efficiency alone, means an INCREASE in fuel consumption and pollution! See the ethanol and alcohol section near the end of this link. http://www.lubedev.com/smartgas/additive.htm.

Fact: With the incentive of cash and government subsidies, large acreages are being converted into producing feed stock to produce ethanol. As a result, prices for wheat and other grains are rapidly increasing due to shortages. As prices increase due to these shortages, basic foods will be beyond the reach of millions maybe billions. This will produce starvation and the resulting upheavals, death and destruction. For information on the current state of world grain stocks see. http://www.counterpunch.org/dawson12202007.html

Fact: While ethanol is presented as a boon for the environment, large areas of previously untilled land will be put into production. Grasslands will be tilled and forests cut down to ease food shortages or to take advantage of high prices and incentives. This will be a disaster for the environment. If research slows on a petroleum substitute due to a misguided reliance on ethanol, that will be yet another disaster.

Conclusion: The use of ethanol will not solve either pollution problems or energy shortages. In fact it will be an environmental disaster and a human disaster, bordering on genocide. These facts are obvious to any observer. Why are we being conditioned to overlook them? Is the push to ethanol really just another example of governmental stupidity, or are the farming and energy lobbies working for their own selfish ends?

Border Patrol Agent Sentenced for Role in Smuggling

(The New York Times) - A former Border Patrol agent helps smuggle more than 100 people into the United States, his name **"Jose Olivas Jr"**, lets see, keep those of Latino decent (our main problem) from entering the country illegally by putting those of Latino decent on the border to keep them out? Surely they would not want to help their fellow Latinos sneak into the country would they? Reminds me of the old saying, putting the foxes in charge of the hen house, or something to that effect. angry, grr

Sex Assault

(San Francisco Chronicle) A father in Fort Worth TX caught his **18 year old** stepson sexually assaulting his **8 year old** daughter, so he has his stepson arrested (not what I would have done, I would have removed his private parts on the spot) and tells his wife not to bail him out. Well, we all know what happens next, this good for nothing mother and wife bails him out anyways. So the father, and rightly so, takes the stepson to an abandoned home and sodomized him with a metal tool, I hope it was a large and jagged tool laugh out loud, and now faces charges of sexual assault himself. **I say we stand up and cheer for this father**, //and hope he deals with the mother next! //

"meanest mom on the planet."

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- ******We need more Jane Hambleton's in the world!** This is one mom who means what she says! When she gave her son a car at Thanksgiving, she also gave him two rules. No booze, and always lock the car. When she found booze under the front seat a mere three weeks later, she immediately put an add in the paper detailing why the car was on the market and sold it, even though she believed his story that someone else had put it there! That is a true expression of love - teaching her son accountability! You can bet that is not the first consequence he has ever suffered.
Too many parents today fail to actually be anything but a bail bondsman in their child's life. Instead of setting them up to be successful in life, the ever growing trend is selfishly striving to be a buddy to their kids, ignoring the responsibilities of parenting. //That is the most damaging thing you can do to your child!// They cannot learn accountability if they are never held accountable. Without the concept of accountability there is no concept of respect, for themselves or anyone else. They become adult children who are unable to positively contribute much to society. And the cycle continues with children raising children, fostering the decline of a nation.

Inmate Alleges Abuse, Faults Guards For Not Stopping His Escape

(Associated Press) - "An inmate who twice escaped from the Pueblo County jail is suing authorities, claiming he was abused by guards and that they didn't do enough to stop him from breaking out."

Why is this type of nonsense allowed to tie up our courts? This guy escaped ////- obviously had it too easy to begin with, was recaptured, and then escaped again! He has already plead guilty to both escapes, and accuses that the prison was too easy to escape from! He claims he was abused by tasers-obviously because he is such a cooperative individual- and sustained serious injuries when falling from the side of the building while climbing off the roof during his second escape! **Now he says the county owes him over $68,000 for all his trouble!** If you ask me, he needs less rights and more punishment to finally get a clue!

Some girls fainting after receiving HPV vaccine

(The Associated Press) **"most painful of childhood shots, experts say"** "Health officials have touted the Gardasil vaccine as an important new protection against a cancer-causing __sexually transmitted virus__." Since when are vaccinations for those that are sexually active considered childhood shots?
We already know that the government is run by those that can't get a real job, "The Food and Drug Administration approved it for __girls ages 9 to__ 26", but why are so many parents acting as if they have had a lobotomy? This is a vaccine against a sexually transmitted virus, "a vaccination that assumes girls have sex", instead of helping your daughters to be whores, teach them the importance of not having sex!
If you ask me the shots are not painful enough!

Man Killed by Tiger

**Here we go**, 3 delinquents __deliberately__ manage to enrage a tiger into attacking them and now 2 will get rich off of it. According to witness's these punks taunted not only the tiger but a lion as well. There was no doubt they had done something wrong when __they refused to speak to anyone after the attack__, so now 2 get rewarded, and the other paid for his stupidity. In all the years those tigers had been in that enclosure they never escaped until provoked, and even then, though others saw the tiger after leaving its enclosure, //it only hunted down its taunters?// Final note, I say throw the 2 into the remaining tigers!
